About HerFutureReady
Protecting and expanding women’s agency in the future of work
We help women become AI-ready and change-ready: not just adapting to AI-changed work, but recognizing opportunities, making decisions, advocating for themselves and shaping their own careers.
It started with moms
Mahsa founded MamaNest in 2019 to work with mothers on how work fits around their lives. Over the years, she saw the same thing again and again: preparing women for the future also means questioning how skills are valued and how work is structured around people’s lives.
That work grew into networking events, an annual conference and, in October 2025, HerFutureReady: a community where women build the agency to shape their own work as AI changes it.
Our story so far
February 2019
MamaNest. Where it started, working with mothers on how work fits around their lives.
May 2022
HerCareerLink. Networking events that built career agency in a changing world of work. They ran until March 2026, when they became part of HerCareerConference.
November 2024
HerCareerConference. Launched, with the first edition on May 11, 2025 at HEC Montréal and the second on May 31, 2026 at Concordia University’s District 3 Innovation Center.
October 2025
MamaTech AI Studio, then HerFutureReady. Hands-on AI learning for mothers, and MamaNest officially became HerFutureReady.
2026
Two cohorts, a TEDx talk and WTM Day. Two HerFutureReady cohorts; Mahsa’s January TEDx talk, “Future-Proofing Women, Starting with Moms”; and in April, a WTM Day panel where she presented the cohorts’ results to policymakers, researchers and hiring experts.
2027
A year-round community. The third cohort, and the third HerCareerConference in June.
